The medical receptionist is the first person associating with clients and organizing the contact between doctors and patients. She/he handles several responsibilities and has many types of roles. The main duties are answering the telephone calls, scheduling patient’s appointments and doing basic office work. This type of career works in medical industry. For example, a physician’s office, hospitals and private health care providers on both standard office hours and on shifts. Various types of knowledge and skills are required, such as telephoning and computer skill. In fact, there are no specific requirements, because it depends on the type of a medical receptionist. Therefore, a medical receptionist is important for the medical industry because it is the key of an effective communication between doctors and patients.
